Large Gatherings of People in 2020 - Following COVID-19

What will the future of music look like post COVID-19?

The question all musicians are asking is, what does this mean for the music business?   Is there a post COVID-19 music world, where touring will resemble the festivals and concert gatherings, tours, festivals of 2019 and prior?   The real question is how does this change things for the fans and for the touring musicians of the world?   I find myself writing this without any answer or "Go Forward" plans other than writing and recording music for the next record and looking towards a 2021 Tour when the storm has passed.  The financial impact the entertainment industry is substantial an this landmark point in history will forever leave its mark on the live entertainment industry.   I think this is new and uncharted territory and one this is certain, that is the relative uncertainty of the situation.

Having said all of that...

I find it is easy for the public to read to much into the media "over-hyped" pandemic panic and "gloom and doom" FUD factor.   The bright light in all of the this is the public has been relying on music to get them through the darkest of times.  In my opinion, this will be the catalyst for a more fanatical fan base and deep desire for the music lovers to see both live acts and participate in live shows again.   There is upside here and music is going to matter when it is all said and done.

Walking Tall is spending the time back once again in the studio working on new material and content for the fans for late 2020, early 2021.   Please check in at www.walkingtallband.com for more info.
